I had the privilege of capturing the truly magical wedding of Catriona and Vincent at the stunning Chateau du Grand Val in France. Their day was filled with the perfect blend of cultures; with Catriona from Scotland, the Groom from France, and having made London the place for their family home; everyone came together to celebrate this beautiful day.

The colour scheme of blush and dusky pink added a soft, romantic touch to the classic, elegant vibe – with their littlest in the most adorable scottish attire in honour of his heritage – making it feel both timeless and personal. Showing just how beautifully different backgrounds can come together.

As a wedding photographer who focuses on the documentary style approach, my focus was on capturing those truly candid moments – Catriona laughing with her bridesmaids, her sweet father holding it together during the ceremony to Vincent’s anticipating look as he awaited his bride for her entrance. There was such a genuine, heartfelt atmosphere that I was able to photograph so naturally, while also blending in a few editorial-style shots to complete the narrative of their day.

It was a day filled with emotion, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime; a true reflection of love, family and two cultures coming together. It was an honour to be a part of it and to capture these moments that tell their true story.
